Okay I absolutely loved this so much I read it twice before I could review. The story made my heart ache so bad for Jessie and Slade. All they wanted was to be together and time and obnoxious people kept getting in the way!

Slade was hawt! So yummy, loved the alpha male in him.

Jessie had a lot of spunk and didn’t just jump right back in his arms when he finally came back – I loved that about her!

Jessie and Slade fought hard and loved just as hard! This book was wonderful and I expect nothing less from Lora Leigh.

Oh and the lovin’ between Jessie and Slade? So hot!

Right Here, Right Now by HelenKay Dimon

For Gabby Pearson, being dumped in public before the dessert course has to be the lowest of the low, especially when it’s the old, “It’s not you, it’s me” speech. Honestly, how about something original: “I have five minutes to live” (very possible); “It’s not you, it’s the voices in my head” (thanks for the warning); or “I am such a powerful sexual being I could put you into a coma with one kiss” (wishful thinking). Not that Gabby would ever know since Reed Larkin never bothered to take her to bed. Why does a girl bother (to shave)? The only thing left to do is offer the guy a goodbye forever drink on his head.

Damn. Reed did his job: he walked away from Gabby rather than drag her into his unstable life and danger. Now he’s wearing her full glass of wine instead of throwing her onto his sheets. It doesn’t help that the woman is smart as hell and could stop a man’s breath with that wide smile and those shapely curves. Gabby has it all, and Reed wants every inch of her. And now the joke’s on him, because new intel says Gabby has just become his assignment: He has one day to win her back, get information from her she may not know she has, and somehow protect her at the same time. The stakes are high. The odds are impossible. And the mutual attraction is as hot and strong as Gabby’s anger. And Reed can only hope his next speech, “It’s you, baby, it’s definitely you,” will be the start of something wild, something crazy, something dangerous, something wonderful.

This book had it all – romance, humor, drama, even a bit of mystery. I fell in love with the main characters, their storyline was realistic and just wonderful. And the romance part of it? They loved hard and fought just as hard. This book had me laughing out loud pretty frequently, some scenes were just too funny that I couldn’t help myself. If you haven’t read this, check it out!

Updated 2021: This is my favorite book in the Bridgerton series, I have read it over and over again.

I loved this book! Anthony and Kate were so funny – their witty jabs back and forth were very entertaining. Julia Quinn did such a great job describing the settings and characters for this historical romance. She made it very easy to forget that I was wrapped up in a completely different time!

I will definitely be rereading this book again and again.

Making Chase (Chase Brothers 4) by Lauren Dane

Matt is an expert and the Chase is on. Tate doesn’t stand a chance.

Tate Murphy is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. She grew up a million miles away from the easy life Matt Chase has had. She’s spent her life pulling herself and her siblings up and out of that trailer by the railroad tracks and she hasn’t looked back.

Matt Chase has watched each one of his brothers find love and he knows he’s ready for that too. It’s all a matter of finding the woman who captures his heart. He’s certainly sampled his fair share of them but none has moved him the way Tate Murphy does when he goes to her shop to thank her for some cookies and a thank you note.

But as Matt gets to know Tate and appreciate her strength and unique beauty, he also realizes she’s got some big self esteem issues about her past. To build a future, he’s got to find a way past some big road blocks.

I loved this book so much! I love it when you can easily relate to a heroine! Tate was headstrong and independent! She didn’t want Matt to just come in and take care of her. She wanted to prove that could do it all on her own and still be with him! Tate’s only downfall was that she had very low self-esteem. But, what female on earth isn’t insecure with their body in some shape or form? Such a great heroine.

This series from start to finish was so amazing. I love it when authors continue to include all of the characters from each book as well as the town they live in. It’s nice when authors make a book only about a specific couple but these types of books are also great. We get to find out what’s going on with the previous couples and keep up with the wonderful Chase family. Simply wonderful!
